We are one of the oldest clubs of its type, founded in 1971 to assist its members to restore, operate, and enjoy old tractors, machinery, and stationary engines. To help preserve these tractor and stationary engines our members like to display at events.

We are dedicated to the preservation and enjoyment of commercial vehicles, from historic vans to military. Our member's vehicles portray a living history of commercial gransport and show the developments which have taken place during more than a century.

Many of our members exhibit their vehicles at shows and other events, to help educate the general public about the vehicles in their custody and how they and the men and women who drove and operated them have contributed to our rich military heritage.

Our club members have an interest in the eclectic vehicles that were designed and built by those Eastern Bloc regimes behind the Iron Curtain during the Cold War period. Our members look to display their Trabant to Wartburg vehicles at events and fetes.

The club has traditionally catered for Herald and Spitfire based vehicles including the Herald, Spitfire, Vitesse, GT6, Bond Equipe & Specials. As well as hosting our own events, our members are available to display classic vehicles at other local events.

The club was formed in 1989 and its aim is to preserve and promote the Austin Maxi, the first British hatchback and one of the first family cars to be fitted with a five speed gearbox. Some of our members like to attend events & display their Austin Maxi.
