Formed in 1964, the Morris men of Adlington have earned an excellent reputation for dancing and now perform a full programme throughout the spring and summer. Morris dances are drawn mainly from those originating in the Cotswold and surrounding villages.

We are Morris dancers who are the only traditional dance team to performe Morris dance entirely in a circular formation. The dancers wear a 1901 costume with straw boaters and Morris dance at town centre venues, fetes, galas, pubs and private events.

Black Swan Rapper
Rapper dance is the most exciting form of traditional dance to originate in the British Isles. Five dancers joined by flexible steel 'swords' weave around and over one another at speed to create patterns that seem impossible. Available for all events.

Morris dancing comes in various styles and each originating from different locations in England. The core of our repertoire is Cotswold Morris, a style that is commonly associated with clashing of sticks, waving of hankies and bells round their legs.

We're a mischievous mixed morris side, who dress in black rag jackets with sequins, black hats and blue face paint, we attract and excite onlookers wherever we perform. Our morris dance team are available for festivals, carnivals, weddings & wild parties.

We perform at a wide variety of local events in our brightly coloured costumes and the footwear is clogs with irons nailed to soles & heels which accentuate the rhythm of the music and dancing. Dances are researched & collected from the Lancashire Plain.

We have taken some 'traditional' dances and also written several of our own but perform them to more modern music, such as blues, jazz and rock and roll. With our bright yellow and black tatter coats we dance out at fesivals and events across the north.

We are a mixed Morris Dance side and we dance a wide variety of Cotswold Morris traditions, some Border Morris, Longsword, and our very own Ulverston North-West Morris dance. During the year we are available to dance out in the towns, villages to parades.
