Welcome to this edition of our newsletter focusing on re-enactment groups.
As part of the Great War centenary commemorative events spanning four years
from 2014-2018 this July marks the centenary start of the
Battle of the Somme
where more than 59,000 British, Commonwealth and French soldiers were casualties,
19,000 of which were killed on the first day alone. Between now and November
when the campaign finally ended many event organiser's will want to include
living history and re-enactments from the Great War era. |

Event Planning |
Mark the Centenary of the Battle of the
Somme this year and step back in time to 1916 and see the British Tommies
training in preparation for the huge Somme offensive. We are a dedicated Living
History Group formed to perpetuate the memory of the Great War soldier and our
aim is to portray the Royal Warwickshire Regiment soldier from 1914 to 1918. |
Though dynamic displays, demonstrations
and living history our members are enthusiastic about the period and we
have regular training days to ensure drills are kept up to standard and that kit
is correct. We can be booked for a specific occasion, event, film work or to
just give advice.
