Have you been given the task of organising and planning a summer event? Take a look at
our event planner for useful ideas, tips and advice to help
you plan your summer fete, county show or school fun day
in four easy steps.
SUMMER EVENTS - FETES - FUNDAYS - FESTIVALS
STEP2. REGULATIONS
Important step
After your initial planning and organising your head is probably full of great
fund raising and activity ideas for your summer event. But before you go any
further you need to take time to read this very important section. This is the
most important step under our summer event planner and will give you useful
information to keep your summer event within the law and how to comply with
current health and safety regulations.
Regardless of how small or how big your summer
event, be it just a small jumble sale, car boot sale, a church fete, school fun
day or major county show, whether you're holding your event indoors or outdoors,
it is the responsibility of the event organiser to ensure the safety of all
persons, including the public attending and helpers, employed or voluntary.
Please remember that this planner is a general
guide and we will try to provide you with as much up to date information and
ideas as possible. Your first port of call should always be your local council
events and entertainment department. Tell them exactly what type of event you're
planning to hold, they will then be able to give you all the up to date
requirements, help and advice for your local community. Remember your council is
there to help you and if consulted early on will save you a lot of confusion and
disappointments later with your event planning.
